Dagmara Bilon

Dagmara Bilon est polonaise et vit à Londres. Elle est danseuse, performeuse et éducatrice en Arts, diplômée du conservatoire de danse contemporaine de Laban. Elle est co-fondatrice du collectif The Purple Ladies. Elle a travaillé pour Punchdrunk, Psychological Art Circus, Bones Theater, Marissa Carnesky, Ear Cinema, Lundahl and Seitl. Elle crée parallèlement ses propres productions présentées au Royaume Uni, en Espagne, France, Croatie, Roumanie et Allemagne. Conjointement à Andreas Constantinou, elle a développé The Talking Gender Project pour HimHerandit Productions.

Dagmara Bilon was born in Poland. She is a London based Performance Artist, Co-Founder of The Purple Ladies Performance Collective, Associate Artist of HimHerandIt Production and Project Manager of The MotherHouse. Since graduating in 2003 from TRINITY LABAN with a degree in Dance Theater she has worked as a performer for companies such as Punchdrunk,Psychological Art Circus,The Bones Theater,Marissa Carnesky, Ear Cinema and Lundahl&Seitl. Simultaneously Dagmara has created and produced her own independent performance projects including staged works, sight specific interventions and one on one performances . More recently she has focused on developing performance actions that challenge the notions around the discourse of gender, sexuality and identity and exhibited work alongside The Desperate Art Wifes and Tanja Ostovic 'Misplaced Women Project'. She has also conducted various community arts led projects engaging young people in taking part in devising performances. Currently she is working on a piece of time based iconography called the 'Kummeris Crucifixion' in collaboration with Stawman Augments. Her work has been presented across the U.K, Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Romania, and France.
